With rain forecasted for the entire weekend, Brittany & I were both hoping and believing for a break in the weather so their beach wedding wouldn't become a 'somewhere other than the beach' wedding. We were all incredibly happy that the weather held off and allowed Brittany & Jay to get married with sand between their toes and the waves crashing behind them. // And her umbrella??!!! Isn't it the cutest idea! ... Enjoy!
This Mississippi lady married her best friend at Landrum's Country Homestead in Laurel Mississippi - and it was gorgeous.
All the lovely, feminine details came together perfectly for a good time of celebration, dancing, and a whole lot of laughing.
Patrick first noticed Makenzie when they were just 18. Life and college caused them to loose touch, but little did they know fate would bring them right back together, and this time, Makenzie would take his last name. After their first date in 2014, Patrick and Makenzie were inseparable, and that's the way they plan to stay. Enjoy!
Downtown Mobile has a ton great options for weddings & receptions. When Shelly and John found Space 301, they knew it was a great fit for them. They would be able to have the actual wedding outside, but a great space indoors for the reception. The wedding ceremony was in Cathedral Square, right in the center of downtown Mobile - and right across the road from the reception venue, and just a block from the Saenger Theatre. - Which provided the perfect backdrop to a few sunset photographs with twinkling lights and all.
John and guys wore powder blue suits with pink pocket squares - which were completely awesome - a first for me and I loved it! The ladies were gorge in bridesmaid dresses they each were able to style their own way - and Shelly was an incredibly beautiful bride in her physique fitting lace wedding dress.
Shelly & John, I so appreciate you opening your family, friends, and lives to share with me. It was an absolutely beautiful day physically and emotionally, and I was honored to be with you.
Her eyes lit up and her gorgeous smile flashed. Jennifer began telling me how she and Chris met and what kind of day they wanted for their wedding. Aside from Jennifer's demeanor incredibly kind and sincere demeanor, one of my favorite parts was they had decided their wedding reception would be in her mother's backyard (love!).
She began telling me about how the search for wedding locations in the Fairhope area had all turned up less than what she had in mind ... and then it dawned on her, her mom's backyard provided the perfect poolside intimate gathering for their friends and family. Which mom agreed too, with a little persuading ;).
Jennifer, you met the man of your dreams and I so appreciate you guys and the bond that you share with each other. More favor and blessings for you both in your lives and marriage!
