Now for the reception! :) And what's a reception without a candy bar??? Exactly. Just thinking about it makes me want some of those blueberry yogurt covered pretzels ... yummmm.... :)

Father/Daughter dance always gets me ...
nothing like a little money dance to get things started ...
Then we snuck outside for a quick few photographs on the deck beore the sun set ... one of my faves ...
and now it's time to break it down ..

Although this was scheduled for the first part of the week .... I am finally getting back into things during a whirlwind of events. So here we go! Much to share ... much to blog!

Tori & Leighton were married in Pensacola right in front of a beautiful marina at Palafox Wharf. With an afternoon ceremony and reception to follow - Tori & Leighton celebrated in style. Tori is one of those girls that totally lights up the room when she walks in - and Leighton took notice. You can't help but have a great time when you are around these two, and everyone at their wedding agreed. Enjoy!

How cute are these two? I know right. I am over the moon to be shooting their October wedding - especially after getting to hang out with them during their 'southern country' engagement session (yes, I totally made that theme up ... but hey, it works!). Becca my dear, you make my heart smile, and I know you do the same for Dale. Enjoy!

Now that she is all married - I can totally show off some of Lauren's bridal portriats. Bridals are so much more fun than they used to be [but hey, aren't weddings in general these days???] Bridal Portriats are a time to sass it up a bit. Change up your jewelry, shoes, add some flair that maybe you wouldn't necessarily sport on the big day, but you still like and enjoy. And that is what Lauren did.

Seriously - she was amazing. She took her grandmother's dress and from it, custom designed her dress. She then took a piece of the lace from the dress to a jewelry designer and had a custom made necklace to compliment her serisously awesome dress. I LOVE that she took something so special and used it to create something that would forever be dear to her. Lauren, you did such an amazing job being you. You knew what you liked, and your day totally looked like you - from head to toe - and it was beautiful.

When Rebecca & her family were planning their big family vacay to the South - they contacted me to set up an extended family session. I loved getting to meet them and hang out with them for a moment, and I must say, their color choice looks so good on the beach!!! ;) I am a huge fan of trending it up a bit - adding a little color goes a long way in giving life to the photographs. Rebecca - so happy to meet you [finally!] :) - and I hope the South came through for you ..... ha ha.

I am totally a closet hippie. I could easily have been a hippie & loved every minute, and that is the total truth about Barcley. Cool, calm, with a touch of nostalgia - she was ready with her laid back hippie style to get senior portraits like no other ... and so she did. With a little set up in the woods, Barcley made her senior photographs totally her - and I LOVED it.

As you will see in the following photographs these two were straight laughs. I LOVED getting to hang out with them for a bit - and got even more excited about their upcoming Gulf Shores wedding. Beth is a girl who smiles continuously - and Joey is just straight hilarious. I literally left the session all smiles because I laughed that much.

I must confess ... I might be from the South, but I don't know much about Dukes of Hazzard. Lauren suprised Brandon with one of the original General Lee vehicles for the night. He was absolutely on cloud nine, and had me take this photo which is similar to the promo photo they used to use for the show. Love it!!!

When I met Lauren a year ago, my heart was excited. Why? Because she was such a genuine person and I could tell she and Brandon were going to have a great marriage - and a beautiful wedding. Lauren & Brandon's day had amazing weather, gorgeous location, and a bride & groom who truly wanted to spend their lives with each other, and then there are all those details that Lauren added to make her day all the more fun. I loved her idea of doing a family/wedding tree with fingerprints and guest messages for a sign in, the kissing balls hanging from the tree, and the personalized flower girl basket - and that's just the ceremony. One of the coolest aspects was Lauren MADE her dress from her grandmothers dress. That's right, she took her grandmother's dress and designed hers using all the fabric and material from her grandmother's. genius. - And a custom made necklace to top it off. Sheer Gorgeousness.

Not only did Lauren have a custom made necklace, she had custom earrings made for all her bridesmaids [below right]

A couple that seriously had me rollin' was these two. Michelle, I just love you. Your blunt ... and I quite enjoy it! As I can so clearly see what made Chase fall for you. Your such a beauty matched with a great sense of humor ... so needless to say I am quite excited for your upcoming Fairhope wedding! It's going to be quite the night!!
